December 2009 / Director and Producer Jessica Jennings is awarded a Research Grant from the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities for VisionWink's newest documentary, THE PUBLIC EDUCATION PROJECT. PEP, for short, focuses on the changing landscape of public education in Providence, Rhode Island.

November 2009 / VisionWink wins fiscal sponsorship from Filmmakers Collaborative, a nonprofit agency that sponsors and supports independent media projects. VisionWink is thrilled to have the support of Filmmakers Collaborative as it progresses on its newest film in pre-production, THE PUBLIC EDUCATION PROJECT.

May 4, 2009 / Home Across Lands premieres in Washington, DC, on May 4 at the Center for African Refugees and Immigrants' Conference.

April 2009 / Director and Producer Jessica Jennings is nominated for four Emmy Awards for VisionWink's educational film, Boy in the World!

January 2008 / VisionWink's educational film, Boy in the World, has its broadcast premier on Rhode Island PBS (channel 36, RI cable 8, DirecTV 36 and Dish 7776). A second broadcast on PBS is expected in the Fall of 2008.

November 2007 / Longitude, a short-form documentary of collaborating partners VisionWink and Devlo Media, is greenlit for television broadcast on Current TV (broadcast schedule TBA). Longitude explores the work of visionary social entrepreneur Meshach Bondzie and the importance of his secretarial school in Ghana. Click here to see the video.
